Deputy Candidate Kyle Nelson was able to ride along and observe with the Palm Beach Pilots aboard various ships. Kyle anticipates taking the Florida State Harbor Pilot exam in 2027. Kyle graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 2022 and currently works as a Second Mate for Crowley Maritime. We wish him luck.
