REP. MARK PAFFORD VISIT

Representative Mark S. Pafford visited the Port of Palm Beach for a ride along on October 19, 2010. Representative Pafford was joined by Captains Greg Turner, Reid Hansen and William Messer. During the visit with the Palm Beach Harbor Pilots Association, he was able to ride three vessels, including a container vessel out, a RO-RO vessel in and a tug with an oil barge out. Throughout the ride along, Representative Pafford was able to learn more about the profession and the skills required to be a harbor pilot. He was impressed with the skills and knowledge of the pilots and provided positive feedback in support of the pilot profession.
